Mandeville unit

The Mandeville unit is located in Craigavon Area Hospital. It is a day unit which runs clinics and delivers a variety of therapies for cancer treatment. Within the unit you may meet with some of the following team members: nurses, doctors, pharmacists, support staff and volunteers.


  • How to get here

    The Mandeville unit is located in the Macmillan unit, Craigavon Area Hospital, 68 Lurgan Road, Portadown, BT63 5QQ. It is based at the back right of the hospital. It can be accessed via its own door or through the main entrance. Please following signage for the Macmillan/Mandeville unit.

  • Parking

    Car park 6 is a large, free car park located opposite the Mandeville unit. There are a limited number of disabled care parking spaces directly outside the unit. There is a dedicated car park for patients attending the Mandeville unit for treatment. To gain access, a swipe pass is available from the Mandeville reception. Please collect it before parking and return it when you arrive for your appointment.

  • Food

    A light lunch will be provided to patients receiving treatment over lunch time. You are welcome to bring in drinks and snacks from home for your own consumption. If you are unsure about what you can eat or drink on the day of your treatment, please ask the nursing staff. Please let us know of any allergies, dietary preferences or modified diets. A vending machine is also available in the waiting area.

  • Visitors

    You are welcome to bring 1 family member/friend/carer to your appointment and they can stay for the duration of your treatment. Children are not permitted in the treatment area.

  • Your appointment

    Depending on your treatment, you may be required to remain in the unit over the course of several hours for your treatment. You may wish to bring things from home to help pass the time such a book, kindle, tablet or a laptop. We would ask that you use headphones when watching personal devices or listening to music for the comfort and safety of those around you. You are also reminded that filming or photographing other patients is strictly prohibited.
