Children use a variety of ways to communicate messages for a wide number of reasons.
A child’s use of language (or expressive language) is the ability to request, make choices, ask questions, answer, comment and describe events. Speaking, gesturing, writing, signing, facial expressions, using AAC and vocalizations are all variations of expressive language.
