Our Delivery Suite is where you would expect to be if you have been induced or are unsuitable for the Midwifery-Led Unit. Here we have four rooms for labour, a theatre and a recovery room.
In the Delivery Suite you will receive one-to-one care from our dedicated Midwifery team who work in partnership with the Obstetric and Anaesthetic and Paediatric team. It takes lots of services to run a busy delivery suite and we rely on our invaluable Maternity Support Workers, Domestics and Portering colleagues. Sometimes pregnancies require additional care and it is best practice that we monitor your baby’s heartbeat at all times. Each pregnancy is different and your midwife will fully inform you what to expect when in the Delivery Suite.
