Midwifery students
As a teaching and research centre, we regularly have students visiting the wards. They work under the direction of registered members of staff and your cooperation is appreciated.
However, we will respect your wishes if you prefer students not to be involved in any aspect of your care. Please inform a member of staff.

Continued development
Our midwives are continually developing and learning from each other and from colleagues across Ireland and the UK.
In November 2022, a number of midwives attended the All-Ireland Midwifery Conference. Paula Murray, our team lead from the Birth at Home team, presented to the conference on the birth at home and community midwifery teams.
