Sometimes it can be the simplest things that can help improve our mental health and build protective factors into our lives. There are five steps we can all take to improve our mental wellbeing. Try to build these into your daily life – think of them as your ‘five a day’ for wellbeing.

Read yourself well is a partnership initiative with the Southern Health and Social Care Trust, Public Health Agency and Libraries NI. Books are available in libraries across the southern area to help people understand and manage their health and wellbeing using self-help reading. Southern Area Protect Life Implementation Group (SPLIG)
SPLIG is a multi-agency group with representatives from both the statutory and community and voluntary sectors. The primary purpose of the group is to ensure implementation of Protect Life 2, The Suicide Prevention Strategy for Northern Ireland (2019 -2024) at a local level.
