The Adult Community Learning Disability Forensic Service offer provision to Adults with a Learning Disability who have had or might have contact with the criminal justice system. The Team aim to support service users leaving prison, hospital and those already in the community. The Team will support a service user through the Criminal Justice System and while on Probation Orders/Sexual Prevention Orders.
The Team aim to provide safe and supportive intervention to service users, carers and the wider public, whilst working with other statutory, community and voluntary agencies.
The Team offer day opportunities to service users known to the Team. Activities on offer include woodwork, animal husbandry, horticulture, sport, arts, crafts, music, allotments, courses, etc. and community integration opportunities.
A range of therapeutic interventions are also delivered including Good Thinking Skills, New Beginnings, Mindfulness, Relationship and Sex Group, etc.

Referral criteria
Referral Criteria
- Age range 18+ and known to adult learning disability community team/transition team.
Plus one or more of the following
- Have a conviction for an offence
- Have had an allegation of offending
- Be considered at risk of offending
