What is a compliment?
The Trust considers a compliment to be:
“An expression of praise, commendation or admiration.”
It is always encouraging for Trust staff to receive recognition for the vital work that they undertake.
Who can make a compliment?
Anyone who receives, requests or is directly affected by our services, or a service contracted or commissioned by us, can make a compliment. This includes the representative of someone who in receipt of our services.
How do I make a compliment?
If you want to compliment or thank our staff, you can do this by:
- Speaking with the member of staff directly
- Contacting the staff members manager – please ask a member of the clinical team to provide this information
- Completing the online Feedback form
- Contacting the Service User Feedback team

How long do I have to make a compliment
There is no set time limit for making a compliment, however it is better if you can advise us of any positive experiences as close to the time of their occurrence as possible.
Getting help to make your compliment
The Trust is committed to making our services easy to use for all members of the community. In line with our statutory equality duties, reasonable adjustments can be made to help you to access and use our services. If you need assistance with making a compliment, or want this information in another language or format, such as:
- easy read versions
- sign language videos
- large font or braille
