The Southern Trust is preparing for the implementation of encompass on 8 May 2025. With less than four months to go (105 Days), the organisation is in full swing, ensuring everything is in place for a smooth transition.
Southern Trust’s encompass 120 Day Go-Live Readiness Assessment event was held on Wednesday 15th January 2025. This serves as a critical milestone in ensuring the smooth implementation of encompass. This assessment focused on reviewing the readiness of key processes, systems, and teams, identifying potential risks, and confirming that all technical and operational requirements are met.
We had representatives from Epic, regional encompass, Digital Health Care Northern Ireland (DHCNI) and other Trusts colleagues both in person and virtually. We were delighted to also welcome Santé et des Services Sociaux, Quebec team virtually who are installing Epic with a planned Go-Live in late November 2025. Like many of Epic’s large global customers, they were eager to shadow a GLRA event and we agreed to facilitate this.
It was a very positive day filled with productive discussions that allowed us to work collaboratively towards our shared goals. The open dialogue provided an excellent opportunity to address any concerns proactively, fostering a sense of teamwork and commitment to ensuring a smooth path forward. Everyone’s input was valued, and the collective effort reinforced our confidence in the success encompass and the significant improvements in healthcare delivery and operational efficiency.
