The Planning Team has worked alongside their colleagues services across the Trust to provide as much support as possible in these extraordinary circumstances.
The Team supported the establishment of the central staff donning and doffing areas at both Craigavon and Daisy Hill Hospitals, this included making and displaying temporary signage to assist patients and staff with way finding around the zoned hospital areas. Planning staff helped to source and relocate furniture for staff rest areas in the staff village. They also made up staff comfort packs which included personal items such as shower gels, shampoo etc. that were distributed to both staff villages at both acute hospitals and to community team
s.
The team also undertook the ordering of approximately £1m of essential items of equipment which included additional beds; x-ray machines, CPAP machines. Planning team members assisted a number of services and teams to temporarily relocate as well as supporting the opening of the Covid Primary Care Centres in both Banbridge and Dungannon.
