The Southern Trust Children and Young Peoples Service, recently received a donation Madlug bags for children in foster care to transport their belongings when moving into foster care or between foster care placements.
Stella Kelly, Interim Assistant Director, Corporate Parenting in The Southern Trust said
“Over the past 8 years the Southern Trust has continued to benefit from the support of Madlug for children and young people in our care.
Dave Linton, Founder and Managing Director of Madlug shares our passion for improving life experiences for each and every one of these children and young people.
The donation of bags from Madlug has greatly benefitted young people in the Care System in particular, ensuring they have access to an appropriate bag which makes a huge difference for children and young people who may have to move to a new home.
Almost 1000 bags have been distributed for children and young people across the Southern Trust in recent months and we are extremely grateful to everyone at Madlug for their continued commitment to this initiative”
There are over 100,000 young people in the care system across the UK & Ireland and one child enters the care system every 15 minutes. Madlug is an award winning bag brand that stands for ‘make a difference luggage’.
With every bag purchased, a pack-away travel bag goes to a child in care. Because no child should carry their life in a bin bag.
Madlug’s aim is to give 100,000 pack-away travel bags by April 2024, ensuring young people in care move with dignity.
