Well done to all of our team in Craigavon Area Hospital laundry for achieving ISO accreditation.
As part of a three-year certification process our laundry service gets a surveillance visit annually to ensure we continue to meet Standard ISO 9001:2015
The auditor reviews different areas including leadership, planning and performance evaluation. Our team are extremely busy and hard working. On average they process four million pieces of laundry a year, about 75,000 – 80,000 pieces per week, providing the collection and laundering of soiled bed linen, personal clothing, work wear and theatre linen. The team also coordinate the replacement and marking of old bed linen.
As well as servicing our acute and non-acute hospitals within the Trust the laundry team manage Belfast City Hospital, Musgrave Hospital and the Mater Hospital.
