Staff from Blossom Children and Young People’s Centre have been raising money in memory of treasured colleague and friend, Imelda Quinn, who passed away in 2022.

The team organised a family fun day – which took place in Peatlands Park and featured live music, face painters, crafts, and a selection of food and drinks.

Together, they raised an impressive total of £30,252, which was split between two deserving charities. A generous £20,000 was donated to the Air Ambulance, and £10,252 went to Torrent Buddies, a community group supporting children and families with Down syndrome. Imelda was a strong advocate for this cause, so the team honored her memory by continuing her support.

Torrent Buddies, Imelda’s family, including her husband, daughters, and mother, as well as Damien McAnespie from the Air Ambulance, were warmly welcomed at Blossom to receive the donation cheques, making for a memorable morning.

The Blossom team extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated and backed this special event.
