100 scarves received as part of #SuperScarfMission

7th March 2024

One hundred scarves have been donated for women undergoing cancer treatment within the Southern Trust.

These items of clothing have been generously gifted as part of Scamp and Dude’s ‘Super Scarf Mission’ to help women have a feel-good factor in their wardrobe when going through difficult times.

Scamp and Dude donate a scarf to hospitals when one has been purchased by a customer on their website. These are then distributed by nurses to patients at hospitals with the aim of wrapping patients ‘up in love and show them that we’ve got their back”.

In addition to the 100 scarves, the Gynae Rapid Access Clinic East (GRACE) and Early Pregnancy Problem Clinic (EPPC) at Craigavon Area Hospital were lucky enough to be also gifted 40 pairs of Lucky pants by the organisation.

Nicola Dunlop, Sister within the EPPC and GRACE, said:

“I want to thank Scamp and Dude’s for this generous donation. The brightly coloured scarves create a sense of unity for women and will help keep them warm throughout their treatment journey and the Lucky Pants, which are underwear sets, will be beneficial for someone who really needs a superhero to have their back.

“It’s these acts of caring, kindness and generosity that we really value, and we are grateful for the support.”
